Eight Great Fears (Tib. ‘jigs pa chen po brgyad) – Drowning, thieves, lions, snakes, fire, spirits, captivity and elephants; and their inner counterparts: doubt, craving, avarice, envy, wrong views, hatred, delusion and pride.
