'''Geshe Sonam Rinchen''' was born in Tibet in 1933. He died in Dharamsala, India, 5 October 2013. He studied at [[Sera Jé]] Monastery until he had to flee Tibet to India 1959. In 1980 he received the [[Geshe Lharampa]] degree. He is was a resident scholar at the [[Library of Tibetan Works and Archives]] in Dharamsala, India, where he taught Buddhist Philosophy and practice.
