OM DÉ LEK SU GYUR CHIK
Om! May there be happiness and wellbeing!

RABJAM GYALWÉ TUK KYÉ LÉ TRUNG PA
Born from the aspirations of countless victorious buddhas,

NYIK DÜ DROWÉ GÖNPO CHÖ KYI JÉ
The leader of beings in this degenerate age, the Lord of Dharma,

SANG CHEN TENPÉ MÉPO KA DRIN CHEN
And kind patriarch of the great secret teachings

ORGYEN SANGYÉ NYI PÉ GÉ LEK TSOL
Is Orgyen, the Second Buddha: grant us virtue and auspiciousness!

KHYÖ KYI NAMPAR ROLPA TAYÉ KYANG
Although your emanations are beyond limit,

YONG KYI GEWÉ SHENYEN YONG KYI GÖN
You appear as the universal spiritual friend and the lord of all,

MINGYUR TAKPA DAMPÉ DZÖ DZINPA
Keeper of the unchanging and everlasting spiritual treasures—

DORJÉ SUM GYI NGOWOR SHYAP TEN SOL
May your life remain secure as the essence of the three vajras!

GYURMÉ ZABMÖI TA TSIK RIN PO CHÉ
Precious statements, unchanging and profound,

NGÉ SANG TENDZIN DAMPA CHÖ KYI JÉ
The definitive and secret teachings are held by this Lord of Dharma,

MÉJUNG CHOK GI TRULKU DROWÉ GÖN
This marvellous and sublime nirmanakaya, and leader of beings,

DORJÉ SUM GYI NGOWOR SHYAP TEN SOL
May your life remain secure as the essence of the three vajras!

LU MÉ KYABNÉ KÖN CHOK RIN CHEN SUM
By the power and truth of the unfailing objects of refuge—the three most precious jewels—

TSA SUM DAM CHEN GYAMTSÖI DEN TOB KYI
And also the three roots and infinite oath-bound protectors,

LAMÉ SHYAP PÉ YÜN DU TENPA DANG
May this teacher’s life remain secure long into the future,

DZÉ TRIN CHOK TAR KHYAP CHING GYÉ GYUR CHIK
And may his activity flourish and extend to the very limits of space!

In response to the students who requested a long-life prayer for Yonge Mingyur Rinpoche, Tai Situpa made this aspiration. May it be fulfilled!
May virtue and goodness increase!
