'''[[Shanglön]] Dosher Trelchung''' ([[Wyl.]] ''mdo gzher sprel chung'') was one of [[King Trisong Detsen]]’s ministers. He was one of the [[shanglön|king’s maternal uncles]], but he hadn’t been favoured much by nature and was penniless, so he was constantly persecuted. [[Guru Rinpoche]] decided to give him the transmission of the magnetizing deity [[Kurukulla]] from the ''[[Seven Profound Cycles]]'', and as a result of doing this practice he became the most powerful man in Tibet.
