Six basic texts of the Kadampas (Tib. བཀའ་གདམས་གཞུང་དྲུག་, kadam shyung druk, Wyl. bka' gdams gzhung drug) —

1) Udanavarga and 2) Jataka Tales to inspire faith;

3) Shikshasamucchaya and 4) Bodhicharyavatara to teach conduct;

5) Bodhisattvabhumi and 6) The Ornament of the Mahayana Sutras for meditation.
