Sundok (Tib. སུན་ཟློག, Wyl. sun zlog) is a long-life practice for turning back (zlog) the summons (sun ma) of the dakinis, often performed in conjunction with a tenshyuk.
Dakas and dakinis don’t like it when great beings remain in the world, and they can call them back into the expanse of primordial wisdom at any time, in other words calling them to other buddha realms. In longevity practices such as sundok, we ask them not to, to prevent them from calling the master back.
