Valid mental direct perception (TIb. ཡིད་ཀྱི་མངོན་སུམ་ཚད་མ་, Wyl. yid kyi mngon sum tshad ma) is defined as "an unmistaken non-conceptual cognition arising on the basis of the ruling condition of the mind faculty".
