Abhisamayalankara (Skt. Abhisamayālaṃkāra; Tib. མངོན་རྟོགས་རྒྱན་, Ngöntok Gyen; Wyl. mngon rtogs rgyan), The Ornament of Clear Realization — one of the five treatises that were directly revealed to Asanga by the future Buddha Maitreya, it is a commentary on the hidden meaning of the Prajñaparamita Sutras, describing the entire journey of the bodhisattva, from the generation of bodhichitta to the attainment of full omniscience.

Prajñaparamita, mother of all the buddhas

The text is divided into eight topics:

  1. knowledge of all aspects, omniscience, (Skt. sarvajñāna; Wyl. rnam mkhyen; Tib. namkhyen; རྣམ་མཁྱེན་)
  2. path-knowledge, (Skt. mārgajñāna; Wyl. lam shes; Tib. lamshe; ལམ་ཤེས་)
  3. base-knowledge, knowledge of the bases, knowledge of the foundation,(Skt. vastujñāna; Wyl. gzhi shes; Tib. zhishe, གཞི་ཤེས་)
  4. complete application of all aspects, application of the realization of all aspects (Skt. sarvākārābhisaṁbodha; Wyl. rnam rdzogs sbyor ba; Tib. namdzog jorwa, རྣམ་རྫོགས་སྦྱོར་བ་)
  5. culminating application, application when reaching the peak (Skt. mūrdhaprayoga; Wyl. rtse mor sbyor ba; Tib. tsemor jorwa, རྩེ་མོར་སྦྱོར་བ་)
  6. progressive application; gradual training; gradual application of the bodhisattva path (Skt. anupūrvaprayoga; Wyl. mthar gyis pa’i sbyor ba; Tib. thar gyi jorwa, མཐར་གྱིས་པའི་སྦྱོར་བ་)
  7. instantaneous application; momentary training (Skt. kṣaṇikaprayoga; Wyl. skad cig ma’i sbyor ba; Tib. kechigme jorwa, སྐད་ཅིག་མའི་སྦྱོར་བ་)
  8. dharmakaya (Skt. dharmakāya; Wyl. chos sku; Tib. chö ku; ཆོས་་སྐུ་)

These eight topics are further divided into seventy points.
