Tibetan grammatical term: མཐུན་པའི་ཚིག་རྒྱན་
This usage with duplicated (root of the) words is mentioned in Tibetan grammar texts. H. Stoddard and N. Tournadre5 give ཉི་མ་གསལ་ཡང་གསལ། "the sun is very bright" and རྒྱལ་ཁ་ཐོབ་ཀྱང་ཐོབ། "[I] will certainly win".
(At this point I'm still wait for an encounter with this kind of duplication outside of a grammar texts.)
