Geshe Sonam Rinchen (1933-2013) was born in Tibet in 1933. He died in Dharamsala, India, 5 October 2013. He studied at Sera Jé Monastery until he had to flee Tibet to India 1959. In 1980 he received the Geshe Lharampa degree. He is was a resident scholar at the Library of Tibetan Works and Archives in Dharamsala, India, where he taught Buddhist philosophy and practice.
