Jamyang Loter Wangpo (Wyl. ‘jam dbyangs blo gter dbang po) aka Thartse Pönlop Loter Wangpo (1847-1914) — an important Sakya master who played a key role in the Rimé movement. He was a disciple of Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo and a teacher of Jamyang Khyentse Chökyi Lodrö. He is well known for compiling the Compendium of Tantras (Wyl. rgyud sde kun btus). The famed Ngor collection of the 139 mandalas of the rgyud sde kun btus was saved by Ngor Thartse Khenpo Sonam Gyatso Rinpoche(1930-1988) who took them with him into exile from Tibet in 1958 and subsequently wrote the definitive work on them.

He received Dzogchen instructions from Nyoshul Lungtok.

In addition to his tantric works, Loter Wangpo composed commentaries to the Abhidharmakosha and Sakya Pandita's Treasury of Valid Reasoning.
