Kyechok Lingpa was a direct disciple of Dudjom Lingpa, a tertön himself, and the father of Tulshuk Lingpa.

Birth & Family

Kyechok Lingpa was born in Golok, Serta, in Eastern Tibet.

Training

Kyechok Lingpa was first trained at Domang Monastery, and also became a doctor. He studied directly with Dudjom Lingpa.

Activity & Final Years

Kyechok Lingpa was forced by the invading Chinese to flee over the Himalayas to India with his wife, Kilo. Kyechok Lingpa then had a monastery in Patanam, a few days' march from Tulshuk Lingpa's monastery in Simoling, Lahaul, until he died. [1]

Family

Kyechok Lingpa’s son was Tulshuk Lingpa, his granddaughter is Sangyum Kamala, wife of Chatral Rinpoche.
