Lama Kedrup was a main disciple ofDudjom Lingpa, and a great Tröma Nakmo yogi who had practiced in the 108 cemeteries. On his master’s instruction, Lama Kedrup left Dudjom Lingpa in Golok with other senior students and made the long journey to Pemakö to find the reincarnation of his master : Dudjom Rinpoche.

According to Dudjom Rinpoche, Lama Kedrup was 'extremely wrathful, short tempered, and often scolded or yelled at Dudjom Rinpoche'. But he was of crucial help to teach reading to Dudjom Rinpoche (Source ‘Light of Fearless Indestructible Wisdom’, Khenpo Tsewang Namgyal).
