Lama Konchok Jungné (19??-2014), aka Riwoche Ngagchang Könchog Jungney (Wyl. ri bo che sngags ‘chang dkno mchog ‘byung gnas) was a senior disciple of Dudjom Rinpoche.

Birth & Family

He was originally affiliated with Riwoche Monastery.

Training

Probably in the 1940's, Lama Konchok Jungné later went and stayed in Lama Ling, Kongpo, to receive many teachings from Dudjom Rinpoche in Tibet.

Activity

In the early 1960’s, Lama Konchok Jungné went to India where he was able to receive many empowerments from Dudjom Rinpoche, among the Rinchen Terdzö, in 1961. After these empowerments, Lama Konchok Jungné, Lama Yeshi Phuntsok and a group of about 40-50 people stayed in a temporary place, with walls in bamboo, the roof liking, and only matt on the floor, for a 8-9 months retreat. There were two sections of retreatants, one for gelong (ordained monks), and one for ngakpas[1].

Final Years

Until his passing on April 10th, 2014, Lama Konchok Jungné was probably the only surviving close disciple of Dudjom Rinpoche from Lama Ling. After his passing, Lama Konchok Jungné stayed in tukdam for 17 days.
