Namkhé Nyingpo

Namkhé Nyingpo (Tib. ནམ་མཁའི་སྙིང་པོ་, Wyl. nam mkha'i snying po) — one of the twenty-five disciples of Guru Rinpoche. He was ordained as a monk by Shantarakshita, learned Sanskrit and travelled to India to receive teachings from Humkara and other teachers. During the empowerment of Kagyé by Guru Rinpoche in the caves of Samye Chimpu, his flower fell on the mandala of Yangdak Heruka. As a result of his practice of this particular deity, he attained supreme accomplishment and was able to ride on the rays of the sun.
