The Vajra Sitar of Immortality

A Prayer for the Long Life of the Fourth Incarnation of Terchen Chokgyur Lingpa
[[Yidam]] deities, magical manifestations of unchanging Great Bliss,<br>

The assembly of Vajra Guardians and [[dakini]]s,<br>
Grant us your true blessing, that we may know your wondrous power!<br>


You who are the prince of scholars and sages,<br>
oṃ svasti!
Holder of the teachings which mature and liberate beings,<br>
Padmasambhava—forefather of hundreds of accomplished ''vidyadharas''—
The Supreme Vehicle of the Ancient Translation ([[Kama]] and [[Terma]]),<br>
Yidam deities—magical manifestations of ''unchanging'' great bliss—
May your life, [[bodhichitta]] and virtuous activity, like the arising moon, be victorious over all!<br>
And the assembly of ''vajra'' dharma-protectors and dakinis,
Through your wondrous truth, may all be powerfully auspicious!  


May the tradition of the Lord of Dharma (the Great [[Tertön]]),<br>
Custodian of the liberating instructions and ripening empowerments
Which possesses the seven special direct blessings, <br>
Of the Supreme Vehicle, the Kama and Terma of the Ancient Translations,
Remain strong and complete until the very end of [[samsara]].<br>
Lord of scholars and sages—like the full moon rising bright above,
And may the [[three realms|Three Worlds]] be forever adorned with this spring flower of wondrous virtue!<br>
May your life, awakened vision and activity reign victorious over all!

Since the sons of the siddha<ref.This is a reference to the Third Neten Chokling Rinpoche, the founder of Tenchok Gyurmé Ling in India, and his four sons.</ref> together with some sangha members from Tenchok Gyurmé Ling<ref>i.e., Neten Monastery in Bir, Himachal Pradesh, India.</ref> requested me to offer a long life prayer using the name Rigdzin Gyurmé Dorjé<ref>The name is highlighted in italics in the phonetics above. The name could be rendered in English as ‘Awareness-Holder Unchanging Vajra’.</ref> bestowed by the embodiment of the victors of the three times, the Sixteenth Gyalwang Karmapa, I, Maṅgala Śrī Bhuti, a tantric practitioner who was touched by the nectar of Jamgön Khyentsé’s blessing, composed this prayer in the presence of the Kutsap Yizhin Norbu Ngödrup Palbar.<ref>The Kutsap Yizhin Norbu Ngödrup Palbar (sku tshab yid bzhin nor bu dngos grub dpal ’bar) is one of the most sacred terma statues of Guru Rinpoche. oṃ svasti! Padmasambhava—forefather of hundreds of accomplished vidyadharas— Yidam deities—magical manifestations of unchanging great bliss— And the assembly of vajra dharma-protectors and dakinis, Through your wondrous truth, may all be powerfully auspicious!

Custodian of the liberating instructions and ripening empowerments Of the Supreme Vehicle, the Kama and Terma of the Ancient Translations, Lord of scholars and sages—like the full moon rising bright above, May your life, awakened vision and activity reign victorious over all!
