Centre rue Burq — Rigpa's first centre in Paris. It opened in 1978 and was located in a small residential building, situated in the 18th arrondissement of Paris, on the Butte Montmartre. The building still stands today, next to a small public garden, but Rigpa has moved out since 1995. This centre was blessed by the presence of many great masters such as Kyabje Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche, Kyabjé Ling Rinpoche, Kyabje Dudjom Rinpoche, Dzogchen Rinpoche, Kyabje Kalu Rinpoche and Kyabje Nyoshul Khen Rinpoche.

In 1981 the centre moved to rue Denis Poisson and in 1982 formally became 'Rigpa France'. Rigpa then returned to rue Burq in 1987, remaining there until 1995.

After moving to temporary rented centres in rue Blanche and L'Orangeraie, Rigpa finally bought, in 1998, its own centre in Levallois, on the outskirts of Paris.

Former address: 22, rue Burq; 75018 Paris.
