The six methods of vocalization (Tib. སྐད་ཀྱི་གདངས་དྲུག་, Wyl. skad kyi gdangs drug) are:

  1. rising (Tib. འདེགས་, Wyl. ‘degs)
  2. pausing (Tib. འཇོག་, Wyl. ‘jog)
  3. changing (Tib. འགྱུར་, Wyl. ‘gyur)
  4. slurring (Tib. ཁུག་, Wyl. khug)
  5. high (Tib. ཕྲ་, Wyl. phra)
  6. low (Tib. སྦོམ་, Wyl. sbom) [1]
