Located in the lower Ke-chu valley, where is located [[Riwoche Monastery]], the main temple<Ref> Gyurme Dorje, Tibet Footprint, 3rd edition, p413</Ref>, constructed in [[Zangdok Palri]] style, contains images of [[Padmasambhava]], [[Amitayus]], [[Vajrasattva]] and [[Shakyamuni]], as well as several large prayer wheels replete with the mantras of Vajrasattva, Padmasambhava and [[Amitabha]]. <br />
<br />
The central throne bears a photograph of the present Taksham Rinpoche, who lives in Switzerland. The newly painted murals depict the Taksham lineage. Outside and to the left of the temple entrance there are sets of stupas symbolizing the deeds of the Buddha, both in traditional stone design and in the distinctive wooden style of Kham.<br />
