The three actions of forsaking, joining and reaching (Wyl. bud snyegs thob gsum), which are counted among the ten innermost riches of the Kadampas, are:
- Forsake the ranks of people (mi gral nas bud)
- Join the ranks of dogs (khyi gral snyegs)
- Attain the ranks of the gods (lha gral thob)
