Three higher trainings (Tib. lhag pa'i bslab pa gsum) The trainings in discipline (Tib. tshul khrims), meditation (Tib. ting nge 'dzin) and wisdom (Tib. shes rab). These trainings are called “higher” because, unlike certain other non-buddhist rituals and meditation practices, they actually lead to liberation and omniscience.
