Three spheres of dharmic activity (Tib. ‘khor lo gsum or Tib. ‘khor lo rnam gsum):

  1. The ‘learning’ sphere of study and reflection (Tib. lokpa thö sam gyi khorlo),
  2. The ‘renunciation’ sphere of meditation (Tib. pangwa samten gyi khorlo),
  3. And the ‘activity’ sphere of work (Tib. chawa lé kyi khorlo).

An alternative version is the three spheres of reading and abandoning (Tib. These three are:

  1. The study wheel of learning (Tib.
  2. The renunciation wheel of contemplation (Tib. སྤོང་བ་བསམ་གཏན་གྱི་འཁོར་ལོ་, Wyl. spong ba bsam gtan gyi ‘khor lo), and
  3. The action wheel of dharma activity (Tib. བྱ་བ་ནན་ཏན་གྱི་འཁོར་ལོ་, Wyl. bya ba nan tan gyi ‘khor lo)
