Word of the Buddha (Skt. buddhavacana; Tib. བཀའ་, ka, Wyl. bka’) — the teachings that the Buddha gave from his own mouth, and which were recollected by his disciples and recorded in the three pitakas. The Tibetan translations of the Buddha's words are contained in the Kangyur.
