Three types of being (Tib. སྐྱེས་བུ་གསུམ། , Wyl. skyes bu gsum) according to their spiritual capacity are:-
- those who aspire to happiness in the higher states of samsaric existence
- those who aspire to liberation from samsara altogether, and
- those who aspire to buddhahood for the sake of all beings. [1]
