Mamo (Wyl. ma mo; Skt. mātṛkā or matrika) — wrathful feminine worldly deities forming part of Ekadzati’s entourage. The mamos are considered to be among the main natural forces which may respond to human misconduct and environmental misuse by creating obstacles and disease.
