The Second Dodrupchen Rinpoche, Jikmé Puntsok Jungné (Tib. འཇིགས་མེད་ཕུན་ཚོགས་འབྱུང་གནས་, Wyl. ‘jigs med phun tshogs ‘byung gnas) (1824–1863), was born in the Do valley, and during his short life displayed many miraculous powers. Do Khyentse, the great siddha and emanation of Jikmé Lingpa, recognised him and was his teacher and friend.
