Pravrajita

Pravrajita (Skt. pravrajitaḥ; Tib. རབ་ཏུ་བྱུང་བ།, rab tu byung ba) — literally someone who has 'gone forth', and therefore often translated as a 'renunciant'. The Tibetan term rabjung has become almost synonymous with being a monk, but this is not always the case, since the definition is 'to go from having a house to being homeless'. The term stands in contrast with the householder (Skt. gṛhin).
