Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal (Wyl. zhabs drung ngag dbang rnam rgyal) (1594-1651) was one of the two immediate reincarnations of Pema Karpo. He went to Bhutan in 1616, where he introduced the Drukpa Kagyü teachings.
