Anantamukhapariśodhananirdeśaparivarta; Tib. སྒོ་མཐའ་ཡས་པ་རྣམ་པར་སྦྱོང་བ་བསྟན་པའི་ལེའུ།, Wyl. sgo mtha’ yas pa rnam par sbyong ba bstan pa’i le’u) consists of an extended sutra presented by the Buddha to his bodhisattva disciple Anantavyuha. The instruction consists of a so-called dharani gateway, a teaching that involves a series of dharani spells, which are interspersed throughout. As a magical formula, a dharani constitutes a gateway to the infinite qualities of awakening, the awakened state itself, and the various forms of buddha activity.[1]
