The field of merit in the Dudjom Tersar Ngöndro

Dudjom Tersar (Wyl. bdud 'joms gter gsar), 'The New Treasures of Dudjom' — the revelations of Dudjom Lingpa and his incarnation Dudjom Rinpoche. Chatral Rinpoche, Shenphen Dawa Rinpoche and Lama Dawa Gyaltsen are some of the present day holders of this lineage.

The Major Cycles

There are four major cycles in the Dudjom Tersar of Dudjom Lingpa; the first three are gongter and the last one is sater:

  1. The Daknang Yeshe Drawa cycle ('The Wisdom Nets of Pure Visions'), which contains teachings such as the Tröma teachings;
  2. The Maha-Ati Yoga Zabchö Gongpa Rangdrol cycle ('The Profound Teachings on Naturally Self-liberating Enlightened Visions'), which contains teachings such as the teachings of Chenrezik;
  3. The Chönyi Namkhai Longdzö cycle ('The Vast Space Treasure from the Wisdom Sky of the Ultimate Nature'), with teachings of Trekchö and Tögal; and
  4. The Zab-Sang Khandro Nyingtik cycle.
