He was an amazing [[tertön]]. He was quite a scholar but he didn’t teach much. He gave some empowerments, sometimes. Mostly all the time he was very humble, but everyone respected him because of that. Sometimes because he was so humble, people would sort of try to blame him for their own problems. But mostly people respected him, wherever he went. He never boasted. He would give some teachings and empowerments, but he didn’t want to give the big ones, the big cycles. They say he was an emanation of [[Vairotsana]], and the enlightened activity emanation of Dudjom Lingpa. Wherever he went, everyone knew and respected him. He never lied, cheated, or did anything opposite the Dharma. Sometimes he would give empowerments when high lamas requested, but mostly he stayed simple. At that time in Tibet, there were high lamas everywhere, so he didn’t want to give transmissions since there were so many others who could.

Tulku Natsok Rangdrol (1904-1958) was recognised as the enlightened activity incarnation of Dudjom Lingpa. His root lama was Lam Dolo, who was the tutor of Dudjom Lingpa as a young boy[1].

Tulku Natsok Rangdrol gave many empowerments and teachings of the Dudjom Tersar lineage to Gyatrul Rinpoche, who considers him his root lama. They did many retreats together.
